Paul Da Vinci at The Old Bankhouse - Calne

  • The Old Bankhouse The Old Bankhouse, The Strand Calne, England, SN11 0EN United Kingdom (map)

*** UPDATE ***

Due to technical issues with Eventbrite website for tickets The Old Bankhouse – Calne has decided to hold it as a FREE Event.

The Old Bankhouse would like to extend their apologies, we have had a lot of people messaging us having experienced difficulties and worried whether they will get in.

Those with tickets will have priority entry and they have been contacted to offer a refund/or drinks.

We are using the Event as part of our St. Patrick’s Day Extravaganza and, what a great way to celebrate! There will of course be all of the brilliant St. Patrick's Day cocktails as usual, and Guinness aplenty! (Oh, and of course our standard weekend drinks deals!)

The Old Bankhouse - Calne are thrilled and delighted to have Paul Da Vinci perform on Saturday 17th March (2018).

Paul is best known as the "incredible" voice on the Rubettes number one selling single 'Sugar Baby Love' which sold an amazing 8 MILLION copies world-wide!

His three and a half octave voice has also featured as the lead singer on other singles such as the B side 'You Could Have Told Me', 'Your Baby Ain't Your Baby Anymore' and 'If You Get Hurt', along with many other successful chart numbers through the 70s and 80s.

Paul's career has been incredibly varied and he has sung vocals on albums by Ringo Starr, Blues guitar legend Gary Moore and Jeff Wayne (Spartacus) as well as providing backing vocals on Top of the Pops for Elton John ('I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues'), Justin Hayward ('Forever Autumn') and Dexys Midnight Runners - to name but a few!

You may know him for his musical theatre contributions having starred in several West-End productions including The Who's 'Tommy' (which received rave reviews... "Truly Exceptional" - Time Out), the Pharaoh in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' and he also toured in Trevor Payne's multi award winning show 'That'll Be The Day' from 1990-1994 playing an incredible 300 shows EACH YEAR!

Paul recorded his solo album in 2009 of his own compositions (Da Vinci and The Justice Dept) including songs such as 'Ready', 'Play For Me' and 'Treat Me Right'.

Reviews include:

"Truly Exceptional" - Time Out

"Superb..." The Daily Telegraph

"Surely One of the Best Voices in Popular Music Today" - Peter Hepple, The Stage and Television Today.

Although Paul has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, we're more than sure performing at The Old Bankhouse will be one of his favourites!!
